Piglets at The Farmers Cart
The Farmers Cart is the same age as our middle child – 10 this year. I know this because it was the first place we went out with her when she was about a week old and it had just opened. It was all very different in those days with just a small shop and a tiny cafe but it has evolved a lot over the years.
The newest attraction is Piglets Adventure Park which opened last year. We visited on a chilly October morning when everybody else had decided it was better to stay at home but we still had an enjoyable trip.
In school holidays entry prices are £6.75 for children, £5.75 for adults or a family ticket is £23 which may seem a bit steep but if the weather is nice there is lots to keep you occupied for the day. There are go-carts, play areas, bouncing pillows (a bit like trampolines), a maze, a tractor ride, crazy golf and a farm area which are all included in the entrance price. There is also a snack bar serving drinks and food including burgers and sausage sandwiches made with locally-sourced meat.

The farm area gives children plenty of opportunity to get to know the animals. There is a small indoor area with staff available to show off the smaller animals at close quarters. The larger animals are in enclosures with walkways around them giving you the chance to look at both them and the farm crops growing in the fields.

At various times in the year there are special themed events at Piglets. The season starts with an Easter Event which includes egg painting, a barbeque, an Easter Egg hunt and lamb feeding.
We enjoyed Piglets and are looking forward to visiting again but this time we will pick a day when the weather is nicer.
